AbilityNet- AbilityNet is a charity that brings the benefits of computer technology to adults and children with disabilities.  Free information and advice on any aspect of the use of a computer by someone with a disability is available.
British Dyslexia Association- find information about the Association, contacts, local help lines and an index of information sheets.

Capability Scotland- are Scotland's largest disability organisation, providing a broad range of services to adults and children with disabilities. Checkout news and campaigns, children's services, adult services, advice, information etc. with a very easy to use site search facility.

Contact a Family- A charity providing support and advice to parents of children with disabilities and special care needs. The site links to over 1000 rare disorders.
Dial - Disability Information and Advice Line services  - are based throughout the UK and provide information and advice to disabled people and others on all aspects of living with a disability. Advice available includes: welfare benefits, community care, equipment, independent living, mobility and transport, holidays and much more. Plus lots of fact sheets to print.
Disabled Living Foundation- find information on equipment hire, fact sheets, training, events, discussion etc. Everything you need to know to assist independent living.
Disability World  The aim of the site is to provide a simple and easy means to browse the Internet for information that can help you. Try using the vast directory to find goods and services etc.
Mobility Advice and Information Service- includes a Guide which  has been compiled on behalf of the Mobility Unit part of the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions. Its purpose is to provide information on the wide range of advice and assessment services for disabled and elderly motorists now available in the UK.
No More Panic  - for help with panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders and  tranquilliser withdrawal with  very useful links to other organisations who may help.

RADAR- Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation.  Alongside the essential information and publications on life as a disabled person, you will find regularly updated news, information on important disability issues and links to other useful sites. 

Royal National Institute for the Blind- do you work in the field of visual impairment or have an active interest in technology for people with sight problems? This is the site for you, links to books, magazines, fact sheets, FAQs etc.
Royal National Institute for the Deaf- for news, information, support,  services, employment advice, interactive services including finger spelling, discussion forum etc.

Scope- This site provides information for disabled people and their families and carers. Email support and advice is also available.

Scottish Dyslexia Trust- find contacts, advice for parents, teacher training programmes, help for adults, print the news letter, etc.

SKILL - National Bureau for Students with Disabilities -' promoting equality in education, training and employment for disabled people'. Here you will find out about how people with a disability can  get into higher and further education, information sheets, conferences and events, recruitment, future developments and links to other useful sites.
